2. Handling of personal data

Privacy-sensitive data, or personal data, is processed through our website. VPC considers careful handling of personal data of great importance. Personal data are therefore carefully processed and secured.

In our processing, we adhere to the requirements of privacy laws. This means, among other things:

  • we clearly state the purposes for which we process personal data. We do so through this privacy statement;
  • we limit our collection of personal data to only the personal data necessary for legitimate purposes;
  • we first seek your express consent to process your personal data in cases where your consent is required;
  • we take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data and require the same from parties processing personal data on our behalf;
  • we respect your right to provide access to, correct or delete your personal data at your request.

In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we collect and use and for what purpose. We recommend that you read it carefully.

3. Personal data we process.

VPC processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • IP address

This data is processed only on the basis of the stated purposes and bases in Section 5.

4. Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect information about website visitors who are under the age of 16, unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16 years of age. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children's online activities in order to avoid collecting data about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without such consent, please contact us at sales@procurementcentre.nl and we will delete this information.

5. For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data?

VPC processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Sending our newsletter and/or promotional flyer
  • Calling or emailing you if necessary to perform our services
  • Informing you of (changes to) our services and products
  • VPC analyzes your behavior on the website in order to improve the website
  • VPC also processes personal data if we are legally required to do so, such as data we need for our tax return.
Complaint form, contact form and question form

We offer through our website the possibility to fill in a contact form. Here you will be asked to fill in various data so that we can handle and/or answer your question. You choose which data you provide. The data you send us will be kept as long as necessary for a complete response and processing. Thereafter, we keep data for up to one year for statistical purposes.

Newsletter

We offer a newsletter through which we share information with interested parties on e-commerce-related matters, including relevant laws and regulations, market developments, market research, related products and/or services of VPC and third parties. You can sign up for this via the website. Your e-mail address will automatically be added to the list of subscribers. Furthermore, each newsletter contains a link that allows you to unsubscribe.

6. How long do we keep personal data?

VPC will not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary for the purposes for which your data was collected.

The data is then deleted when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which your data was collected, unless there is a legal obligation that requires longer retention (such as the seven-year tax retention obligation for payment data).

7. Sharing personal data with third parties

VPC shares your personal data with carefully selected third parties as necessary to execute the agreement and/or to comply with any legal obligation. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. VPC remains responsible for this processing.

These include external service providers, such as accountants, financial service providers, website, application and crm support, collection agencies.

With your permission

In addition, VPC provides your personal data to other parties in certain cases. We do this only after informing you and with your express consent.

8. Cookies and similar techniques we use

VPC uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit our website. VPC uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferences are remembered. We also place cookies that track your browsing behavior so that we can offer personalized content and advertisements. During your first visit to our website, we have already informed you about these cookies and asked your permission to place them. Third Party

Cookies are also set on our website by third parties. These include advertisers and/or social media companies, for example. We also use a Facebook pixel to measure the performance of our Facebook ads. The Facebook pixel allows us, among other things, to show visitors to VPC's website targeted ads on Facebook and measure results.

During your first visit to our website, we have already informed you about these cookies and asked your permission to place them. We cannot guarantee that these third parties will handle your personal data in a reliable or secure manner. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to track how visitors use our website. We have entered into a processor agreement with Google which contains agreements about the handling of our data. Furthermore, we have not allowed Google to use the obtained Analytics information for other Google services and we have anonymized the IP addresses.

9. Viewing, modifying or deleting data

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you may have to the processing of your personal data at VPC. You may also request a data breach for data we use with your consent, or provide a reasoned notice that you would like us to restrict the processing of personal data.

You may send a request to view, correct, delete, data transfer of your personal data or request the revocation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to sales@procurementcentre.nl.

To ensure that the request for access is made by you, we ask that you identify yourself adequately. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks.

Personal Data Authority

Of course we are happy to help you if you have complaints about the processing of your personal data. Under privacy legislation, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Authority against such processing of personal data. 10. How do we secure personal data?

VPC takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
